What’s YOUR Fitspiration?

It’s been a while since I’ve worked out, sad face, so I started looking for some inspiration. I’ve found Instagram to be a great inspiration and motivator for me to post progress pics and share my fitness journey. It’s easy and great to also find others who want to or already live fit, healthy lives. Find me @yoliworth๐Ÿ™‚


The Sweat Pink community has always been a great inspiration to me since I joined. I’m happy to start participating and sharing again and can’t wait to “meet” more fit ladies!

This time around, I’ll see how long I can stick with my Fitbook.


I also like scrolling through the app, Fitness Buddy, for daily workouts and exercises. It’s a great app that has a little demonstration for each move, workout variations, exercises by muscles and more. There’s a free version, too, which is great if you don’t want to pay.๐Ÿ˜› I’m motivated and inspired to work out just looking at the exercises because I want to be able to do them!

Feet & Sneaks!

So I’ve been away for a few months. Change has been going down!! Good change. I went on a blogging/fitness hiatus to my dismay however, I am back and I’m excited.

Today I went running and rubbed off some skin near my Achilles–perhaps in need of new sneaks that don’t rub. Any suggestions on sneakers or how to avoid rubbing??

Yeah I go tape crazy sometimes. hehe.

Update: Hectic Week Edition

Since moving in Saturday, I have been a bit all over the place with running to stores, hanging with friends and eating. Right now my fridge is full and I have no room to put in MY food items, so I don’t have much to eat or cook right now. The fridge was like that when I arrived. Sad, annoyed face. (It looked worse before.)

All the freshies are moving in today and it’s chaos on campus so I’d really not like to go over there, but I have to register my bike soon. And on another note, I’ve gone to the gym twice now and had pretty awesome back-to-the-gym workouts. It’d been about 5 days since I worked out because of vaca time and moving. So yay.๐Ÿ™‚ I also rode my bike to work Monday, and rode it to the gym this morning! Successes๐Ÿ™‚ I’m still getting used to riding around Syracuse and with cars… Cars are kind of scary.

There’s a park right by my apartment and I can’t wait to go on a bike ride through it and see what trails it has to offer. My friend signed up for the Cuse Triathlon team, which is so cool. I have to/want to sign up for a duathlon so badly! eeee!

I can’t wait to get paid again in a couple weeks and to see Neon Trees tomorrow!! For free! Soo awesome.

My 5 Must-Have Fitness Items

Alright, I’m getting settled into Syracuse again. Have to go in to work already. However, my friends start moving in today to their apartments so I’ll be able to chill with them soon. And there’s a concert I’m hoping/planning to go to for free!! Yay.

Anyway, today’s August Blogger Challenge is to List your 5 must-have fitness items. I think of the following items as essential for me, not for everyone. The list is made of items I use frequently and it’s based on my fitness activities. Here we go:

#1 Towel

Or a long shirt to wipe off sweat.

#2 iPod

When running in the gym or outside, I usually need to have my iPod because I push myself more with music.

#3 Cycling gloves

I love wearing my gloves and they make it easier to grip the handlebars on longer rides. Of all my cycling gear, my gloves definitely make me feel bad ass.๐Ÿ˜‰

#4 Helmet

Safety, duh.

#5 Water bottle

Hydrate, hydrate!


In other news, I finally received my Sweat Pink tank and laces!! Woohoo! I’m official.๐Ÿ™‚

What’s Up Atlantic City and Moving Up to Syracuse

So for a couple days, I was in AC. My man and I went there for the 10th Anniversary Atlantic City Airshow. It was my first airshow, which was really cool. My man and I got to go up to the rooftop to watch the airshow (thank you to my man’s big bro) and we got free drinks and food. The show was great and it was so nice to see my man enjoying all the planes, hehe. The we went to The Beach Bar where we got some water, drinks and nachos that upset our tummies later on…๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Then we left today and made our way to Syracuse later in the day. It’s been road time for us nonstop today, but we’ve had fun.

And then it was time to UNPACK!! Oh my goodness, that took a while and I have to negotiate bike space with a downstairs neighbor. Hmm…

That was just some of the stuff I had to unpack. Anyway, going to Wegmans tonight for dinner and food shopping. Then we have to figure out how to squeeze in my food into the already claimed and cluttered shelves and fridge.

On to vacation news. I’m heading back to Syracuse soon but before that I’m heading to Atlantic City!!! Woo! I’ll be staying there for a few days to celebrate my man’s birthday and enjoy some festivities. Details after I return.

In the meantime, I’ve been packing up stuff like clothing, desk supplies and whatever for Syracuse. I hate getting that feeling that I’ve forgotten something. Ughh!! Need to remember to bring my backpack, my bike, etc. Lists for me!!

My quick scribbly list of whatever, it doesn’t even include everything! Ahh

Oh and because of that craziness and the rush of this week arriving, I totally forgot to get my man a birthday present. YIKES! What to do? I think we’re going to a winery, so maybe I”ll buy him a bottle of wine he likes… I’m not sure.

I did make his card though. :] Kudos to me for that, at least.

By the way, craving Ben & Jerry’s Greek Frozen Yogurt like no other. I had it first in Austin, TX while I was at SXSW. If you haven’t tried it–DO IT! I had the Banana Peanut Butter flavor. Soo good!! I may have to visit a grocery store and get some or make a visit to Yophoric!! YAyy.

And my delicious creation from the first trip to Yophoric last week! I chose Eurotart frozen yogurt and topped it with raspberries, mango and strawberry boba!, and gummy worms, hehe. :3
